Iryna Heorhiieva is a travel photographer from Ukraine. She is currently travelling around the world with AIDA cruises. Iryna and I was colleague together in AIDA prima as photographers. We travelled together in Arabic Cites, and it was a lovely time with her. I am glad that I met Iryna and I found a good friend in my travel journey in her. Let’s see her travel journey.

My native language is Russian, and also I speak English, German and Romanian languages.

I am working on the International Cruise Ship Line as a photographer, so I travelled about 25 countries and more than 30 cities.

Iryna, Five Things you can suggest people do in travelling?
- To research the county before journey, currency, hostel, public transport.
- To plan what places to visit, but sometimes to be spontaneous.
- To buy something small (or big) to have a memory of this place.
- Download a map, and to have a power bank with you
- Taste local food
Iryna, could you live in another country for the rest of your life?
Yes, for sure.
Iryna, what was your best trip?
Once I was walking in Copenhagen, Denmark, I was very much impressed by the beauty of this city, for sure I will revisit it.
Have you ever been in a difficult situation while travelling?
I don’t think so.
Have you ever gotten lost while travelling? If so, tell about it.
No, never.
What is the most exciting city to visit in your country?
There are many lovely places in Ukraine, some of them are mountains in the Carpathians, Lviv city, park Kievska Rus near Kyiv, Pirogova village.
What are the famous tourist destinations in your country? Which would you recommend if you could only recommend one? Why?
I recommend visiting Carpaty. I was there so many times and always enjoyed it a lot.
What is the most interesting souvenir that you have ever bought on one of your holidays?
I have keyrings from every city, and also many things I bought in Spain, especially clothes and cosmetics, there is much cheaper than everywhere.
Which country do you want to travel? (You never been to this country before)

What was the best food you had on your travel?
Every week I visited the same cafe in Muscat, Oman, and had beautiful food there, my favourite was hummus with almonds and watermelon juice (It is also my favourite food, and I am happy that we always used to go together)

I have been to 25 Countries.
If you had $100,000, where would you go on holiday? How about if you had $10,000? What about $1,000?
- $100 000 I would go to Japan.
- $10000 maybe Spain.
- $1000 I will travel inside Ukraine.
