Your Country?

Germany

Bastain, Five Things you can suggest people do in travelling?

  1. Most important do not stress yourself if your plan is not working.
  2. Take yourself time
  3. Explore the unknown places rather than touristic hotspots
  4. Get in touch with locals
  5. Get lost in a foreign country. The less expected ist the most beautiful.

Bastian, could you live in another country for the rest of your life?

For sure! Currently, I would love to live in South Tyrol. So, in general, I prefer to have mountains rather than the sea.

Describe the most interesting person you met on one of your travels.

Every person has an exciting story to tell, and it is hard to say who is the most interesting. But the one who helped me the most and for sure is interesting like rarely any other human is Ulla Lohmann. If you don’t know her, google her name. She is incredible, and it’s fantastic to work with her.

Bastian, what was your best trip?

The best trip was crossing the Alps from Munich to Venice on foot within 24 days of endless hiking. Super exhausting! :D

Bastian, what was your worst trip?

The worst trip for me was when I got drunk in Serbia, and I destroyed my iPhone. No details needed :D

Have you ever been in a difficult situation while travelling?

Oh, hell, yes. From running out of money to nearly falling off a cliff or almost going to jail, I experienced everything. But as there is always a plan B I survived until now :P

Have you ever gotten lost while travelling? If so, tell about it.

I love getting lost on travels. It may sound stupid, but if you think about it, it is a unique way to discover a country. Just bring enough time, and it will be fine.

What is the most exciting city to visit in your country?

The most exciting would be for sure Bamberg. It’s a small town, but historically it is incredible. It’s also known as Little Venice.

What are the famous tourist destinations in your country? Which would you recommend if you could only recommend one? Why?

If you ever come to Bavaria, you have to visit the alps and try the local cuisine. Fantastic cheese, beer and an incredible view. Make sure to visit one of the many huts in the mountains. Most of them make their cheese.

What is the most interesting souvenir that you have ever bought on one of your holidays?

I don’t buy souvenirs. I support the locals with tips or food if they help me.

Bastian, please tell us your bucket list places?

I don’t have a big bucket list, as I try not to hurry.

Abu Dhabi Mosque

Which country do you want to travel? (You never been to this country before)

I was to travel to Nepal as they have a fantastic landscape and mountains. There is this area in India called Kashmir, sadly it’s not the safest place to be right now, but for sure I will go there once.

What was the best food you had on your travel?

For sure it was Oman in the city of Muscat. The name of the Restaurant is “Bait Al Luban” And they have perfectly cooked lamb!

Bastian how Many Countries have you been?

I have been to 30 Countries.

If you had $100,000, where would you go on holiday? How about if you had $10,000? What about $1,000?

  • 100.000 – buy me a van and roam around Europe with it for the next five years.
  • 10.000 – same like above without a van
  • 1.000 – a nice and long weekend in the bavarian alps.

Bastian, What was the best Travel Memory for you?

During my travels, I learned a lot about myself and about time. So this is best and virtual memory. Don’t stress yourself and enjoy the moment.

What do you want to suggest to us?

Do what makes you happy. If you have a job that annoys you, quit and search for a new one. It takes a lot of courage to do what you love, but as soon as you make the first step, your energy will guide you to do the right thing.

What was the most exciting place you have ever visited?

There have been many exciting places. But the most unique one until now it was the summit of a 4000m high mountain in the swiss alps. The mountain range is called “Breithorn.”

Anything else you want to share with us? Which was not here?

Please respect nature. It is the most important thing we have.
